How did it go for you? I have a 50 year reunion coming up and
I am looking forward to it.. They all know I was a JW, it should be interesting.
I figure we won't have many more (reunions) so I must attend, the last round up.

i don't have a great reference point on my observation other than my local area but i was wondering if this was a widespread thing.
... in the last two years in my former congregation there have been 6 people to disassociate for "apostasy," 6 disfellowshipped for various reasons, and numerous ones reproved.
these are just the ones i have heard about.
When was the last time someone that had no family members that were JW,
get baptized, the beginning of a first generation to come into the borg here
in the USA???
bradford mention "I don't recall the last one who was found in the ministry".
That is a good sign...
this thread is dedicated to our beloved poster of 13 years perry and his parrot.

How about the hacking off the ear of the soldier and reattaching
it without surgical tools. Let me just slap that ear back on, oh hell
it's up side down.
if you were a jw in the late 70s into the late 80s you might have been one of those brothers or sisters that just happened to be in the right kingdom hall and with the right people.
during that time being a jw wasnt too bad if you were able to establish the right connections.
a person could pioneer for a while and be appointed as a ministerial servant in a year or two and within 5 years you could be an elder in your twentys.

But the Pope and others don't boast about "we do not believe that...

started with a penis joke. King Rehoboam friends told him to say to the people,
"my little finger shall be thicker than my father's loin". Some translation will say
father's waist, but the correct translation is penis (loin).
Who makes this stuff up, it must be truth. RSV, KJV, HCSP and others states loin..
so as i am "listening" to the wt study going on this question was asked.
"how do you feel about refined understanding?".
some of the comments were:.
One day there will be a massive awakening, The most brain dead JW
will realize, this is a bunch of bull. You folks that are still trapped will
lead them into the light. Hang in there, your day is coming soon.
